I definitely thought about my husband when I read this. I believe our hubbys need our encouragement; like really NEED it. I think it makes them stronger and better men just having a supportive and uplifting wife. This is something I try to do as often as possible and I have seen him grow and be strengthened just by my words alone. :) It's very rewarding. Because when he is encouraged and growing, our whole family does.
Even in times where we are in places that may be difficult for us, or with people who sometimes strain our patience and test us, I have found that reminding myself that I need to constantly lose myself, and put on Christ... makes that around me more beautiful- be it people or places... Those strains may be there. The desert may still be dry. The issues may still be there. A person on the outside may not be able to understand what beauty you see... but I believe that is part of having joy... peace in Christ... constantly looking to how we can live more like HIm. Wherever. With whomever. Great thought provoking question :)
